The Wittnauer Exotic Dial Chrono

This is a very rare interpretation of the Wittnauer 242T. Often seen with a matte black dial, this version is known as the exotic dial and dates to the 1960s – well, into Longines ownership of the brand. Simply viewing this watch as an entry-level Longines would, however, be missing the point of what is a cool and substantial 39mm steel chrono. This execution is of the watch is extreme rare- probably rare then the Valjoux 72 brother from Rolex – The Daytona with the so called “ Paul Newman” exotic dial! The watch features a striking red chronograph seconds hand and has exotic red segments on the minutes totalizer. The case remains in outstanding condition. The all original white dial features an outer black tachymeter scale. The 242T is driven by a Valjoux 72 movement, which has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
