In 2021, Seiko introduced the all-new Speedtimer series, a solar-powered chronograph sport watch that inherits the classic and sporty design of the Seiko "1969 Speed Timer" with curved sapphire glass. The dial on the watch has a sand-grained pattern that suppresses light reflection, achieving high visibility unique to full-scale sports watches—bringing this classy look sport's watch to an even higher standard.
In late 2022, after the "Icy-Blue" Limited Edition SBDL093 (SSC909), Seiko came up with the latest Limited Circulation Special Edition SBDL101, this "Modern Sports Design" model is exclusive to Japan's domestic market only. The latest one we now usually name is the Panda II, which uses a steel-coloured sunburst dial to go with a black subdial together with a dual-coloured stainless steel strap.
