Named after one of Audemars Piguets eponymous founders, the Jules Audemars is a stunning dress watch collection that typically features impressive complications in a bid to act as a vehicle demonstrating Audemars Piguets horological abilities as a modern watchmaking powerhouse and as an homage to Jules impressive watchmaker who specialized in such complications. As such, the Jump Hour Minute Repeater ref. 26151 that we have here sports the incredibly complex and immaculately finished manual-wind cal. 2907 movement with a beautifully labyrinthine architecture as viewable behind its sapphire crystal caseback. Featuring two eponymous complications, a jump hour function and a minute repeater, the ref. 26151 is an intriguing watch with both complications that profoundly impact its design. As a result of its jump hour display, it features a digital hour display at 12 oclock and one central minute hand, with a subdial at 6 oclock displaying the seconds. Furthermore, its minute repeater function is operated through the slider found on the ref. 26151s satin-brushed mid-case at 9 oclock. Made of platinum and measuring 43mm in diameter, the ref. 26151s round case features a flat polished bezel that sits atop its slightly wider case, which gives a level of visual depth to its construction. Featuring the same level of visual depth, the ref. 26151s incredibly well-executed jumping hour display sports an interesting guilloche pattern within its center and a contrasting concentrically satin-brushed chapter ring to house its black applied Arabic numeral minute-scale, which only adds to its level of visual depth. An incredibly impressive timepiece inside and out, the ref. 26151 is a heavy-hitting timepiece no matter what way you look at it, and our example is offered in outstanding condition with its Archive Papers from AP.
